Great job focusing on that brace. The other day we worked on getting those hips back first so you can reach good comp depth. On the next squat day focus on that, pushing the hips back first, to see if we can get that depth better.

It was great working with you! We are glad you chose the Method Program. Any questions, just reach out.

Great job! I’m not going to say much because Matt gave you some great things to focus on. Like he said, don’t rock back, keep your upper body in the same place all the way through the lift. I love your attention to detail!.

Nice job! I’m glad you’re liking the bands, I think they are super beneficial as well. One thing to know about the bands is that they will create false tightness on the way down which can make it more difficult on the press. This is happening slightly for you making the elbows swim at the chest and creating a different bar path on the way up. Make sure to control that bar on the way down and maintain tension on and off the chest even through the elbow. I love your positive attitude and enthusiasm, keep up the great work!

Great job and patients. Working your sumo will be very rewarding. On the very first rep make sure not to dip the hips down when you pull out the slack, keep tension in the hips and feet. Notice when you lower the bar on rep four the hips are a touch higher than the rest and the bar path/movement is shorter, this is exactly what you want. Keep up the great work and attitude.

You are correct, work with what you got! Is there any other type of squat rack in that gym? If not the way you did it will work. RDL’s look good! I would suggest a little more focus on the knees off the floor, other than that its a very crispy lockout.

Nice job!! I would suggest moving the bands to the fourth band peg, this way the band is a straight path from where your bar path is. You have them on the second peg, so the bands are pulling back towards your head as you are lifting, this can make things a bit more difficult. I would also suggest not sinking and heaving, keep tension the whole time at your chest so you are loading the weight into your back, not loosing it by sinking. Keep up the hard work!

We usually suggest that you go off your last meet PR. The orange are the Light bands, the next ones up are the Average. Grab me next time you are in the gym, I’ll show you where to get them.

I’m going to let you and Murph figure out the game plan, don’t want too many cooks in the kitchen lol, it’s important Murph knows that all lifts are Gym PR’s, this will be her first meet.

Great job holding position. I believe you are using the orange/Light bands, that’s what I saw yesterday, not the average bands. We do have some spud ones behind the counter or We have some in Russ’s office. What training max are you going off of? what you hit at the meet?

Sounds like a good plan. Good luck and smash all the weight!

Great job! As you get more confident with that heavy weight you will see your true potential, which is you are strong girl!!! Keep at it and just like Matt said don’t let that bar push you around, when coming out of the hole be proactive and push back/drive back before it pushes yo forward

I love sumo! Looks pretty darn good, on the first video before you grab the bar your hips are slightly higher then when you pull, play around with leaving your hips int hat higher position, so more of a hing and less of a squat, see if it feels more powerful it’s also less range of motion. When bringing in your stance just pay attention to depth. It’s hard for me to judge based off the videos, It has the potential to cut off depth and not let people get that extra inch they need to break parallel, in turn makes it feel more powerful because the joint angle is different, but might not be deep enough.

Welcome Cecil! We look forward to helping you any way we can.

Nice work! I agree with Murph. When is your meet? Also is this your first meet? Is your previous PR a gym PR? All good things to know before determining an opener.
