It’s one thing to lift in the gym another to bring it to the platform. June was a very busy month for us here at TPS! Shawn Kelly and I competed at the SPF Summer Slam on June 9th. Later in the month many lifters from Team TPS competed in the RPS Battle of the Champions June 29th.

First at the Summer Slam June 9th.

This was Shawn’s first meet. He went 8 for 9. His lifts were 485 Squat 405 Bench 515 Pull all PR’s for a 1405 total in the multiply division at 242 body weight. Shawn is an athlete and we expect great things from him in the future.

Here is the video of his top 3 lifts:

I went 7 for 9 and ended with a 1825 Total via a 725 Squat (25lb PR) 500 Bench (35lb PR) and a 600 Deadlift in the 275 Multiply Open Division finishing 3rd Place This was a 45 lb meet PR for me.

At the RPS Battle of the Champions on June 29th:

Many TPS lifters showed up for this meet. Two of the lifters are members of the 531 Training Group, which is conducted Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 PM. Get more information about the group.

531 lifters Kim Stabile and Sue Priver both hit personal records on all lifts.

Kim Stabile went 9 for 9 with a 190 Squat, 170 Bench, and a 235 Pull.

Sue Priver went 8 for 9 with a 145 Squat 115 Bench and a whopping 315 Pull.

Great work, ladies!
