Hi all! I’m Laura and I live in Quincy and work in DTX. I’m 27 years old and began weightlifting at 21 years old in 2012.

I’ve been seriously training for powerlifting for a little more than 4 months. I’ve been doing heavy weightlifting since 2013.

I just finished my first USAPL meet with MA/RI Ladies of Iron on 5/4 in the 72kg weight class. I just started another peaking cycle for USAPL Northeast Regionals at the end of July. My meet total (kg) was 250 with a 92.5 squat, 47.5 bench, and a 110 deadlift.

I joined TPS Method because I trained using my own program and technique for my first meet, which was fine, but I’d really like to seriously get into the sport and pull some big numbers.

      Hi Laura,

      Welcome to TPSMethod.com.

I strongly suggest that you begin with our Beginner Acclimation block.

That will get you used to how we train and the volume to come.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and also watch the following courses:

I encourage you to be active on the forum for best results.

      Good luck.
