      Jay,

Let’s improve 1 thing at at time.
For your next session, I’d like you to take the weight out and let it settle into your hands and lats before you begin the press, and then at the end of the set, hold it at lockout as if waiting for a RACK command.

Bench looks pretty good, but with a few tweaks it will look awesome and be much stronger.
      Do this one 1st.

Tried letting it settle, to be honest I forgot to hold at lock out. Also tried focusing on trying to keep my elbow tighter to my body.

I will continue to focus on the settle and lockout… Definitely felt better!

      It’s a little better.
It’s always a GREAT idea to hold the weight after you unrack (the lift doesn’t mater) and let it settle into your muscles.
Imagine a referee holding you at lockout before you begin, wait about 1/1000, 2/1000 and then go as if you heard a “START” command.

At he end of the set, wait a second or two, no matter how many reps as if waiting for a “RACK” command.

You’ll build mental and physical strength, and you will never miss a command at a meet.
