So I’m pretty sure these are high. I’ve really been struggling to hit depth. Any suggestions for that? I know it’s going to kill me on competition if I can’t get this right.

      They are high.
Raw lifters with normal mobility should not have an issue getting depth.

Are feeling tight or less mobile than usual?

In my experience, if a raw lifter is having depth issues, and the mobility is ok, meaning they were
able to get depth in the recent past, the issue is mental.

      All lifting issues are
      Physical
      Mental
      or
      Technical

Many times, a mental issue is a lack of confidence.
The technical issue which can cause a mental issue is that the weight is too heavy, or just heavy.

      Any thoughts on this?

I really think it falls into the mental category. When I was doing less weight I know I was hitting depth more consistently. But when I get near the bottom of a bigger squat I still sometimes get nervous. So I feel like if I can get past that it will help with this.

      That’s my thoughts anyways.

      Never fear a lift.
Ask for a spot, or set the safeties in the rack to catch you on a fail.
      OR use less weight.

      Don’t sacrifice depth!
This is your practice for competition.
      Practice properly.
