Hi all! So I joined the method site after attending the powerlifting seminar earlier in the year, but I haven’t had a chance to look at it too much since then. (TPS is awesome so I wanted to support the new site and see what I can learn around here.)

Anyway.. I’ve been a member at TPS since 2016, currently lifting 4x/weekly in the wee hours of the morning. No athletic background to speak of, started messing around with strength training in my early 30s, and have been powerlifting since 2017. I’ve competed 3x so far (twice with RPS and once with USPA) and have not yet decided on my next meet. I’m working on the same things as always – getting stronger and improving technique, but also trying to lose a couple pounds. That’s about it for me!

      Vicki,
Welcome to the site. You are one of those brave few at 6am that lurks at TPS. We will be here if you have any questions about anything. I would strongly recommend starting the the Beginner Acclimation Powerlifting Block to get you used to the training volume and style that we use. Hopefully from there you might be able to pick out a meet and time the meet prep. I know a few other on the site have already registered for the RPS Meet in Natick in October.

Thanks Matt! First thing in the morning is the only time I know I can get in consistently, even though I am NOT a morning person (thank goodness for preworkout). I did the RPS Natick meet last year, might sign up for this year’s too once I figure out my calendar a bit more.

Registration isn’t open yet for natick. Last year it opened up in June
