Hi everyone, I’m Christine. I’m extremely new to lifting and my hopes are to get stronger, get bigger and move with more grace and confidence outside the gym.

I’m a huge nerd so the wealth of information here is very exciting for me.

I tend to be super friendly and welcome feedback and criticism when it’s presented.

Really enjoying the gyms lack of jerks and that there’s no mirrors on the walls, and right now the prowler is my favorite exercise equipment. Really looking forward to making progress and feeling strong!

Glad to here you’ve developed a positive relationship with the Prowler.
Just from what I remember seeing you in Back to Basics I would look into the Squat course as your first intellectual investment. Along with the TFL program for beginners to practice form on the barbell movements while still moving around.
      Welcome to the site.

I’ve been doing them every day at home to try and improve. Probably going to be putting up some video later for feedback because yeah…they seem pretty important.

Would you say I shouldn’t do the powerlifting program based on that? I already went in and started watching those courses but if you think I’m being too overambitious or could get hurt I’ll switch to training for life. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Christine, you could absolutely do the power lifting program, for some reason based on our talk during class I thought you were doing TFL, I totally made that up.
As long as you take it slow and easy with the barbell stuff as you begin, neither program is too ambitious.
Just keep trying to improve everyday.

Ok great. I do want to lift but I’m just so new I want to make sure I am listening to people who know better than I do, which at this point is probably almost anyone at TPS lol. Thanks Matt.

Thanks a lot, it’s been really great seeing how many other women come to this gym and work out the way I want to. Very motivational.
