So Wednesday I have a bench test.

One of my last bench days, I benched 115 with 40 pounds of chains.

I’m thinking of attempting 150 for my third attempt, is lifting the 115 with the chains a good indicator that it’s possible or am I making a false equivalency here?

      Thanks guys

I’m gonna go with semi false equivalency here. Yes that is a good indicator that you’ve gotten stronger but I’d rather look at what you did for your last bench test with just straight weight. Then aim for at least 5lb if not 10lb more than that.

That works out about the same so thanks! I was going to go 140 (my best attempt at the meet), 145,150 if I can make that 140 move again.

Thanks a lot for the help.
