Felt pretty good about my bench today. I noticed I lost some tension towards the end of my banded sets but other than that I think I didn’t let it sink into my chest

I think they all look pretty damn good.

      Keep it up.

Looks much better. Logistics with the bands really quick. If that gym has hex dumbbells (the hexagon shaped ones instead of the circular ones) bring those over and set them so you can get the bands pulling directly against your bar path. Hooks the bands off the dumbbells instead of the bench. If not, the bench is better than nothing but keep in mind that the bands will also be trying to pull the bar over your face when set like this.
As far as the technique goes, the banded bench looks good but you can really see the focus on tension for the paused reps. The only thing that could be a little better is the legs on the pause. Watching the last video you can see your leg drive “reacts” to the press instead of keeping it on the whole time. The last rep on that set is actually the best in this regard as you keep the pressure through the feet for the 5 seconds.
      Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately this gym only has the rounded dumbbells. Maybe next time I can try threading the bands under the bench to line it up with my bar path. I’ll definitely work on keeping my leg drive engaged through every rep. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Nice Benching. Since you don’t have Hex dumbbells you can use the round ones just wedge them with plates. For example just use a 5lb plate on both side of each ends. So in total you’ll have one dumbbell but 4 5lb plates for that dumbbell, this should hold the weight in place. I hope that makes sense, if not I can take a picture and post it here for you. Keep killing it!

I think I get what you mean! I’ll give that a try next time! Thanks
