Are there any substitutes for Backward Sled Drags or Sled Pulls if that equipment isn’t available? TIA

Donna we both have the same general question. They might want to merge these posts

If you guys have access to a facility that has any implement that can be pushed you can do that as an alternative. If not I recommended Brain Farmer’s Walks with dumbbells as an alternative.
One thing that Murph has pointed out before is that there is not magic exercise, we just select ones that make as much sense in the totality of the program. If you do not have access to a piece of equipment needed for an exercise go to the video library and look under a similar section, in this case it would be “lower body accessory” and find an exercise that you are comfortable with and can perform at your facility. Do that for similar sets/reps.

      As an addition,
      Backward drags hit the quads
Forward hits the glkutes and hams.
      Adjust accordingly.

You should add to your website to do list. “add a button to the training for life to click for alternatives to each exercise” Sleds, trx, are hard to find. Bands can be too. Dumbbells are usually ok but some places don’t have them go very high. For sleds what I ended up using was a stair climber on slow and stepped as high as humanly possible and borderline falling off the machine. Worked ok.

I like Brian’s idea of walking against the cable.
I am going to have to try it out and see how it is.
