So I went for 300 with a pause, but only made it for a single. I definitely ramped and my back rounded but…I did manage it get it up and lock it out. Is there anything I missed?

      What was the sets/reps/%/RPE?

Congrats on the 300, but let’s look at what happened and why I feel it caused you to grind so much.
On your initial set up, it is different than usual.
You approached the bar by pushing your knees forward which is what caused the bar to go forward. It is not what the guy on Insta said.
Had you hip hinged back the bar would have stayed where it was. When your knees pushed it forward your start position was off. And, you let got of the air at the shin.
And, the pause was more of a yield. A pause means you STOP completely.

Now, this may seem like I ma finding every flaw, but that is my job. If I told you it was an awesome and clean lift, that would be negligent.

HOWEVER, you did pull 300 from a bad start position, you attempted to pause even though you let the air/brace go, but you finished the lift.
      That’s a big win.
You stuck it out and gave 100%.

Murph I 100% understand the criticism. I knew the lift wasn’t perfect but I could still learn from it. I know if it was an awesome and clean lift you would have told me that too. I know you aren’t trying to rain on my parade, haha.

It was supposed to be 2×2 RPE 8 with a pause and 2×2 RPE 9.

      IT’s not criticism.
      IT’s coaching.
      Huge difference.

Fair enough. Thanks as always for the help.
