Hey Murph, hope you had a great weekend!
This week I did a mock meet, since I don’t have a real meet in the cards just yet. I used the numbers you suggested and went 9/9 with them
Squat – 325 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU0Y07AcCX/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link)
* 350 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU1HuwA_YE/)
* 375 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU2NN8AXIG/)
Bench – 215 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiZwpVUuQRf/)
* 230 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiZxoJNO2Ff/)
* 240 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiZz5UNAPGz/)
Deadlift – 415 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU2eDOg_u9/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link)
* 440 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU3SomAFZX/)
* 465 (https://www.instagram.com/p/CiU55HMAAZG/)
No true PRs except for the 465 DEADLIFT, but bench was feeling really super duper solid! I’d never paused 240 before
I wanted to ask what comes next – thinking about doing a quick cut for the duration of block 2B, since that seems to be more volume/technique focused and I’ve put on a little fluff during this prep. Once that’s done, do you recommend Beginner Powerlifting 2 or Big And Strong? I’m looking to keep getting these numbers up, since my technique is MILES better than what I started

Squat:
1: $$$$
2: $$$$
3: $$$$
That’s how a 3rd should look!
Good work.Bench:
1: $$$$
2: Same!
3: Strong, but it would not have passed with an experienced judge. You went up and down at the chest. But, use that as your PR number.Dead:
1: $$$
2: OFS
3: Looks like you had another 5-10 pounds in the tank.
Great job.Either of the programs you suggested will work well.
If you decide to cut weight, remember, that may affect your lifts so don’t get discouraged.
You had a very productive training block!-
