Hey everyone, it’s a pleasure to be here and see what the TPSMethod is all about.

My name is Alister and I am a Deaf ed teacher in South Texas.
I’ve always been disinterested in things like sports growing up but I’d like to think being in marching band for the four years of high school is what kept me relatively lean.
It wasn’t until I left high school and went to college that I gained the Freshman 15 and then some. I took a kinesiology class and got into learning all about macronutrients and training myself. I got pretty skinny but failed to gain any muscle. Shocker. Now, I still don’t exactly know HOW macros work but I love to solve the equations for them!
Years later, with the help of trainers and a lot of program hopping I eventually went up in both muscle and fat and now that I’m nice and beefy; well honestly- I’m more like a solid 70/30 beef you get from a dollar store. Yikes. (Not joking, my Fit3D said I’m 30% bf!!)

I don’t know what to train honestly. I don’t know how to challenge myself in ways that make my muscle grow or my fat melt off. I don’t feel strong enough to powerlift and currently- I just want to look good without a shirt. I have not competed for I am not competitive in nature but I do have a goal and I want to get lean for my wedding in Fall 2023. Do you think it’s attainable for a little ‘ol teacher like myself?

I joined TPS Method because it sounded like a solid refresher. I do want to be generally more healthy, but also I want to be strong. I don’t know how to be strong and this felt like the right place to do so.

I look forward to reading what other members have posted and getting to discuss things like this with one another.
