I couldn’t think of a good title for my question, but here it is. I’m noticing that strongman has been brutal on my shoulders and wrists. What can I do to keep them injury free and deal with the demands I am putting on them. Not sure if I should try to do extra stretching or some other kind of rehab for them during this time.

Not much you can do until you adapt to it.
Strongman training is HARD and rough on the body.

Wear wrist wraps, get some Rehband knee and elbow sleeves…….
      Ice.

You also need to monitor the frequency, intensity and duration of training.

In our programs all of the is is accounted for, but you added in Strongman (which is fine), and it may just be a little too much volume.

      Also, this is HUGE:
Get rid of processed foods, make sure you eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight and eat enough calories to support your training and recovery. Hydrate well and sleep at least 8 hours a night.

Thanks a lot this is exactly what I needed. I’m gonna take it easy today and tomorrow and try to come back Friday. Hopefully that and stopping on Monday will have me in better shape for the event.
