Hi all. I joined the TPS method about a month ago after speaking on the phone with Candance about the programming. She was insightful on the method and was extremely helpful with all the questions I had. Fast forward 2 days and I came down with Covid. It took a few training sessions to get my feet back under me but I am really enjoying everything thus far.

After my collegiate baseball days ended at Northeastern, training helped keep me competitive and healthy. I suffered 3 separate knee injuries while playing baseball. I spent lengthy rehab processes relearning movements and developing a love for training. I’ve been in powerlifting/power building for the last 3.5 years. While I made quick initial gains, I feel as though I have plateaued for the better part of a year and a half. I am hoping to break through these plateaus and reach a personal goal of a 1200 total (about 125 short now). I look forward to using the forum and interacting with everyone using the TPS method.

      Hi Keith,

      Welcome aboard.

What program are you planning on starting with?

It’s a great idea to watch the courses on Squat, Bench and Deadlift as well as the RPR videos.

Be sure to include the RPR as part of your warm up for best results.

        Hi Murph,

Candance recommended starting with Intermediate Powerlifting Strength & Skill Development due to my background. I’ve been watching the videos and using alternative exercises/variations when I don’t have certain equipment at my disposal.

I did reach a part in the programming today that I did not have a substitute for. I do not have access to a tsunami bar. Can you recommend a good alternative? I thought maybe attaching KBs with bands.

      Do what Candace says!

Attaching bells with a band is a good substitute.

If you aren’t training at TPS and don’t have access to all of the equipment, I suggest looking at your program for the upcoming week and posting ahead of time i the forum so we can help you better.
