      Two questions for ya:

(1.) You say the Acclimation blocks are for everyone that is “BRAND NEW to powerlifing.” Do you mean new to the lifts or new to new to the sport? I was going to start with the acclimation blocks since RPE is new for me. But, honestly, I think it’s going to be a lot harder to get the hang of without the percentages as guides (and I do think I can reasonably estimate my 1RMs based on recent lifts) so I’m a bit torn. What would you advise?

(2.) I’m not seeing any deloads. So… if I were to do 2 acclimation blocks and then the 1st beginner PL program, that’s 20 weeks with no deload, yes? Or is it just built into the program and I’m not seeing it?

If it’s assumed an athlete will just take a deload when they need I’d want to build in some extra time before the meet to allow for this.

      thanks!

      1. I think most should start with the Acclimation block, both those new to the lifts, and those familiar.
Using RPE is tricky, and not having a % is trickier.
But, that’s why we have the Forum.
We can watch and help you gauge the RPE as we do in the gym with clients.

2./ I don’t do traditional deloads as most programs do.
They are there, but not as you would expect.

I also think beginners don’t need the same deload as more advanced lifters.

If you feel like you need a greater deload than is in the program, just add a post and we will get you through it.
The deload for many is unique, and sometimes it is better to give advice for each person.

      Hope I explained well.
